techie stuff

Take pictures with this new kikay camera!
It’s not very difficult to find sleek and stylish digital cameras these days as the biggest brands make sure they offer the most cutting-edge designs for trigger-happy folks. But if we’re talking about cuteness, the new Canon PowerShot E1 takes the cake for being currently the cutest of its kind in the market.
Learn its cool features and see its fun colors after the jump.
At 160g (minus the battery), the PowerShot E1 is 20 percent smaller than the first lineup of PowerShots. This baby may be small, but with a capture capacity of 10.0 megapixels, it’s pretty powerful for its size, offering as much as 4x digital zoom and letting you view your shots in a 2.5-inch LCD screen. Like the newest range of PowerShots, E1 comes with advanced face detection technology and red eye correction.
You may consider it an addition to your collection of kikay accessories, but E1 is also a good camera for first time camera-owners to start with, since it comes with basic shooting modes such as Auto, Easy, Portrait, Landscape, Night, Indoor, and Kids & Pets. You can also record movies with up to 640 x 480 resolution.

Sony Ericsson's W705 Walkman phone

Check out Sony Ericsson's W705 Walkman phone with a MBS-900 Bluetooth 2.1 speaker supports 2.1 channels with integrated stereo speakers and subwoofer. The W705 is a UMTS/HSPA 900/2100 slider with DLNA-compliant Wi-Fi, shake control, a 2.4-inch display, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with a 4GB memory card, supports SE’s Clear Bass and Clear Stereo audio DSP systems, and has Bluetooth to stream music either to headphones or to the MBS-900. It also uses SensMe software that creates playlists based on a user's mood.

Connectivity is either wireless or via a 3.5mm input; we are thinking you will get better quality sound from the latter. The speaker has a monochrome OLED display for track titles and music settings, and has an FM radio. Music is automatically muted when the phone rings. I have idea when will be out but these products is expected to be launched by the 1st quarter of 2009.

Flyclear Card

All of us who have been on a plane know about how long you have to wait before you can board because of the annoyingly thorough check-ups you have to pass before you can go on your trip. But from now on you can leave all those controls behind thanks to the new Flyclear card. And it only costs $99.95 a year and the fee for TSA of $28.

To get one, you have to go to a Clear center and present two official identification cards. Then you have to take a photo and give them your biometric information. They suggest that you should have a US passport, but foreign people are welcomed to.

So now you can eliminate the stress from your plane trips, not worry about those hidden pierces and miss a lot less planes. The Flyclear has already been put into function but for very few airports like Orlando, San Jose and JFK and the service is not available all day long. But there are plans to expand this technology.
